I am the Campus Director at Cyprus College Limassol, Senior Instructor in the Computer Science programs, and the Founder and Project Director of iBSC Technologies. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Northumbria University, Newcastle, an MSc in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Technology at the Cyprus University of Technology. My doctoral research focuses on the role of Makerspaces in enhancing higher education learning environments through hands-on, constructionist methodologies. My work is at the intersection of technology, education, and innovation, exploring how digital tools and spaces can transform traditional learning approaches into immersive, engaging experiences.

My Academic and Professional Journey

I am pursuing a PhD in Educational Technology at the Cyprus University of Technology, focusing on Makerspaces in Higher Education, Augmented Reality, and Curriculum Development. My academic journey includes a BSc (Hons) in Computing from Northumbria University, Newcastle, and an MSc in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool, specializing in IT Project Management.

With over 4000 teaching hours as a Senior Instructor and Program Coordinator at Cyprus College and European University Cyprus, I teach courses such as Web Programming, Databases, Server Administration, and Networking, equipping students with relevant skills and hands-on experiences that meet industry standards.

In addition to my academic career, I am the Founder and Project Director of iBSC Technologies, where I lead diverse projects, from cloud computing solutions and mobile application development to web systems engineering and network infrastructure management. My entrepreneurial journey has allowed me to collaborate with prestigious clients such as Bank of Cyprus and the Cyprus Productivity Center, delivering tailored technology solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.

Research and Projects

My passion for research is reflected in my involvement as a Research Associate in the FeSTEM project, which promotes female empowerment in STEM through the development of an innovative e-mentoring platform. Additionally, I contribute to the GRATOS project, focusing on Graph Theoretical Tools in Science, where I collaborate with European University Cyprus to develop digital platforms supporting research dissemination.

Constructionism and Makerspaces

Constructionism is a central theme in my research and teaching activities. I believe in the potential of technology to facilitate constructionist learning environments—spaces that support learning through designing, making, and collaboration. Over the past five years, I have extensively studied constructionism and applied these theories practically in my courses at Cyprus College. This led to the creation of the CYC Makerspace, now an integral part of the teaching process, completely transforming how students perceive theoretical knowledge. My aim is to engage students in authentic, hands-on learning experiences where they collaboratively construct meaningful artifacts, bridging digital and physical learning environments.
