I hold a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Northumbria University, Newcastle, an MSc in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Technology at the Cyprus University of Technology. My doctoral research focuses on the role of Makerspaces in enhancing higher education learning environments through hands-on, constructionist methodologies. My work is at the intersection of technology, education, and innovation, exploring how digital tools and spaces can transform traditional learning approaches into immersive, engaging experiences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong>My Academic and Professional Journey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">I am pursuing a PhD in Educational Technology at the Cyprus University of Technology, focusing on Makerspaces in Higher Education, Augmented Reality, and Curriculum Development. My academic journey includes a BSc (Hons) in Computing from Northumbria University, Newcastle, and an MSc in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool, specializing in IT Project Management.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">With over 4000 teaching hours as a Senior Instructor and Program Coordinator at Cyprus College and European University Cyprus, I teach courses such as Web Programming, Databases, Server Administration, and Networking, equipping students with relevant skills and hands-on experiences that meet industry standards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In addition to my academic career, I am the Founder and Project Director of iBSC Technologies, where I lead diverse projects, from cloud computing solutions and mobile application development to web systems engineering and network infrastructure management. My entrepreneurial journey has allowed me to collaborate with prestigious clients such as Bank of Cyprus and the Cyprus Productivity Center, delivering tailored technology solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong>Research and Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">My passion for research is reflected in my involvement as a Research Associate in the FeSTEM project, which promotes female empowerment in STEM through the development of an innovative e-mentoring platform. Additionally, I contribute to the GRATOS project, focusing on Graph Theoretical Tools in Science, where I collaborate with European University Cyprus to develop digital platforms supporting research dissemination.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Constructionism and Makerspaces<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>Constructionism<\/b> is a central theme in my research and teaching activities. I believe in the potential of technology to facilitate constructionist learning environments\u2014spaces that support learning through designing, making, and collaboration. Over the past five years, I have extensively studied constructionism and applied these theories practically in my courses at Cyprus College. This led to the creation of the <b>CYC Makerspace<\/b>, now an integral part of the teaching process, completely transforming how students perceive theoretical knowledge. My aim is to engage students in authentic, hands-on learning experiences where they collaboratively construct meaningful artifacts, bridging digital and physical learning environments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Research Interests<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">My research interests lie at the intersection of <b>technology, education, and human-computer interaction<\/b>. Specifically, I focus on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p4\">Digital media for enhancing STEM education<\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\">Constructionist learning environments and makerspaces<\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\">Augmented reality and its applications in curriculum design<\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\">The impact of ICT on employee productivity and dedication in educational and business settings<\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\">Cloud computing technologies and IoT in education<\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\">Community-driven design of digital media and platforms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong>My Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p4\">Project Management: Expertise in IT Project Management, Mobile App Development (Apple &#038; Android), and Cloud Computing (Azure, AWS).<\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\">Academic Skills: Extensive experience in university instruction, program coordination, course development, and quality assurance.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\">Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages like Swift, Objective C, PHP, and Java, along with web development and CMS platforms such as WordPress and Joomla.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\">Cloud and Server Management: Skilled in managing web servers (Apache, IIS), databases (MySQL, MSSQL), and network systems (VPN, Proxy Servers).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p3\">My Passion<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">I am driven by a deep passion for transformation and innovation.
